In the late Sixties Vittoriana Salvatori gave up her career as a singer to embark on an exciting new adventure in the sector of fashion. This would lead her to create the brandVittoriana Couture.
Her creative personality truly came to life with the production of high-quality earrings that represented her own playful freshness.
This was followed by metal and leather belts chosen by renowned fashion designer Valentino to complete his outfits. But the great leap forward was in 1970 when she created the famous slave-style sandals that were worn by the trendsetting Italian countess Consuelo Crespi and by Sophia Loren, who soon made this kind of footwear iconic.
Following her desire to constantly experiment and have fun while doing so, Vittoriana decided to dedicate her attention to the world of Haute Couture.
Throughout the eighties and the nineties her creations perfectly represented the themes and styles of an ever-changing society, while always being innovative and avant-garde. She produced the “Pelicia” coat, made of wool and organza, in response to the controversy of animal rights activists about the use of real animal fur in the fashion industry. Meanwhile the advent of the mobile phone inspired her to make clothes with pockets specially designed to hold this new item that had become so essential for modern everyday life.
The “Otre” bag is made of fabric or leather with a shape that recalls the traditional ancient wineskin made of a goatskin. A backpack intended to be worn over the shoulder, it is another iconic object that Vittoriana Couture offers its customers, together with the possibility of personalizing the materials used to make this bag.
In fact Vittoriana Couture offers only hand-made items, every detail of which is sewn by the tailoring department, according to the individual preferences and exacting needs of the company’s clients, who can count on fifty years of professionalism and good taste, with an approach that is always decisive and innovative.
